BASIC MAGAZINE CONVENTIONS



1) Headline - A text written in bold at the top of any article which indicates to the audience what the nature of the article is about.

2) Strapline - A text or phrase that is short and memorable. it is good for marketing. it catches alot of customer attension. 
 
3)Masthead - A text written in a large font across the front cover, usually seen on the editional page of the newspaper or advertisements.
 
4) Cutline - A one line text describing the illustration, drawing or photograph next to where it appears.

5) Pull quote - A phrase which is cut out of a article and placed in a larger font to atract readers.

MAGAZINE COVER IN PAIRS:

The aim of making this magazine was we could tell the difference in magazine genres.

The magazine cover me and my partner choose was on what type of hobbies adolescence like. It was aimed for girls since its all girly colours. The pictures show whats in the magazine which make teenagers buy the magazine. It has pictures and information on celebrity lifes, latest fasion, sport and the latest music out. These actresses are rolemodels of these teenagers which make teens buy magazine.
